Guided by the leadership of Grandmaster Mackenzie Molner, the Dwight-Englewood School Academic Chess Tournaments are underway! Hosting four Chess Tournaments annually for students throughout the tri-state region (CT, NJ & NY), registration for the remaining 3 is open!

Chess Tournaments allow students to improve their strategic and critical thinking skills through applied performance.  Tournaments at D-E are open to young chess players in grades K-8 who want to be part of competitive Chess.  Students will be awarded prizes for their participation.

Chess Tournaments are certified through the United States Chess Federation (USCF).  Students must register with USCF to participate in the event and to receive a rating. Click here to join. (There is a fee for the annual membership).
