Opening tastes differ from person to person but some trends never die. The Najdorf is an opening that stands the test of time and has been a popular choice of the world’s best players. Kasparov, Fischer, Carlsen, Topalov, Anand have all used it and with great results. It continues to be one of the most feared defenses in response to White’s 1. e4.
